HELLO TEAM!Booth DutiesAs you all know, the annual CCA Fiesta takes place on the first 2 days of school (19th & 20th April 2010). Everyone will be involved (if possible) in both the performance & booth duties.
So please let CATHERINE know the times you are available for booth duties, by this Thursday latest.Preparation of Booth & NoticeboardsWe'll all be meeting at
12 noon this coming Thursday at the clubhouse to start working on the booth deco as well as our noticeboards (which clearly needs a facelift). Please do try to make an effort to be there. It'll be great if everyone could come together to work on this. Come with construction paper, markers, scissors & the usual materials. See you on Thursday! (Even if you can't make it in the afternoon, pls come down for night training as its our last chance to train for the performance!)
Competition TaolusPlease think and consider carefully about the taolus you'd like to learn & compete in for upcoming competitions such as IVP & Nationals.
Everyone has to pick at least 2 taolus to learn/train. This is very important. Please let ISSAC know your choice of taolus by this weekend. It's perfectly alright to pick something you've had no experience in as long as you are willing to learn. :)
Its okay to have many people all choosing & learning the same weapon/fists. However, there will be a
xuan ba in several months' time to pick the final competition representatives. In case your Mandarin is as bad as mine,
xuan ba means a selection process whereby all who have learnt that routine, will come together to show Coach your skills one by one.
The determining factors include attendance, training attitude, willingness to learn & how much effort you've put in. Skills may not necessarily earn you a place if you do not possess the right attitude.
Attendance Rule ScrappedThe newly implemented rule of punishment in return for skipping training has been SCRAPPED. Wayne will explain further during Thursday's training.
